Although Taffs well are having a poor season they have worked hard to compete, picking up nine bonus points along the way. Against oakdale they showed great determination and with a bit of luck could have won the game . The visitors had built up a 19-12 lead mid way through the second half, with the Taff's Well points coming from four Jamie Field penalty goals before Chris Tottle  rounded off a good move to score a well deserved try. With the score at 19-17  Taff's Well had three chances to take the lead with penalty attempts, but unfortunately it wasn't to be. Right at the end, Oakdale completed the score with a further penalty goal to take a win that could have gone either way.

 Next season Taffs Well will be celebrating their 125 anniversary with special games, functions and an overseas tour.  A sub committee has been set up under the leadership of former chairman Terry Potter.

This year's annual dinner and presentation night will be held on Saturday 19 May, with  Rick O'shea from BBC Scrum V as the guest speaker.
